Whether you are just beginning your career, midway through your working years or approaching retirement age, an Atlanta financial advisor may be able to help you to plan for your retirement.
The advisor will begin by gathering current information about your financial situation and help you with your decisions regarding financial investments. The information he gathers along with the current market conditions will allow the advisor to make recommendations as to how aggressively you should begin your investment strategy.
A financial advisor does for an individual what a financial analyst does for a company. The advisor offers the individual a wide variety of options that can help them meet their goals financially. The recommendations made will depend on several factors such as years you will remain working, current assets and comfort in investing in high risk options.
Once the advisor collects his information from his client, he will assess the goals of the client. He makes a comprehensive plan that will identify areas where there are problems, recommend improvements to be made and recommend investments that will help the client reach his goals before retirement age. We’ve all fallen into the trap- we leave the office on our dinner hour and end up returning with a bag of new clothes or a bounty of new CDs or DVDs, or after a stressful week we hit our nearest shopping centre for a few ‘pick me ups’ leaving a large dent in our finances.
But that euphoria is short lived once the credit card bill lands on the mat or you check your account to see your overdraft spiralling out of control. Then you get that all too familiar sinking feeling, need cheering up and the whole thing starts again.
A recent VitalSmarts study saw children being told they could earn some money and were asked how much they wanted to save and how much they were going to spend. They were then introduced into what VitalSmarts described as an impulse rich environment, with bright advertising posters, and samples of different sweets
The children were told they could purchase sweets before they earned the money, with whatever they spent to be deducted from what they earned- recreating the model of buying on credit. Read more...

An equity release plan is a way to get money from the value of the home you own. It is not the right strategy for everyone but can be a good way to get income when needed. The following gives a basic explanation of how they work.
Equity refers to the value of your home minus whatever mortgage or debt that is already held against it. By using equity release, you can get cash from that value but still continue to live in your home. To take advantage of an equity release scheme, there is an age requirement. Typically, you need to be over 55 years of age.
Equity release comes in two basic forms, a lifetime mortgage or a home reversion. With a lifetime mortgage, the home is the security for the loan. The mortgage does not require payment, but instead the interest is rolled up against the loan. Should you move out of the home or die, it will be sold to pay off the mortgage plus accrued interest. I wonder how many people reading this article set a New Year’s resolution to make money fast this year. If you did, I have to wonder why you would wait until the end of the year to decide that you want to make money fast? I would think that waiting would defy logic. The truth is that you do not have to wait for the ball to drop at Times Square to take action towards your goals. A resolution can be made at any time of the year. Hence, I am going to outline four things which you need to do right now to make money fast.
1. Be Resilient
If your resolution is to make money fast, you need to be resilient. Make certain that this is something that you definitely want to do, and will not abandon if you do not see immediate success.
2. Define Your Goals
Do your goals reside within the spectrum of reality, or are they unrealistic? For instance, if your goal is to generate a profit of six-million dollars in the next three-hundred and sixty-five days with a new business, you are probably being unrealistic. I am not trying to discourage you for aiming high, however, such a goal is a little bit ridiculous. It is still possible to make money fast, and maintain your grasp on reality. Furthermore, a more attainable goal is less likely to discourage you. Read more...

Every person who owns a car and has a high sense of lending their hands to the needy is encouraged to offer it to charity. Aside from cars, you can also donate old trucks, boat, mobile homes or vans. The charitable institution converts the car donations into cash as they are sold in auction sales.
Donating the car to a charity will help you get your car sold in a fast way with great deals. The first thing that you have to do is to find a reputable charitable organization which will be the recipient of your donation. You just have to make sure when you donate a car, the proceeds will go to them to finance their programs.
Once you have checked the background of the certain car donation charity, you should talk to them to confirm if they can take your car. You should also check the terms and conditions such as the percentage of the proceeds that will go to them and how much you will keep.
Before you donate a car, it is advisable to look for a car donation charity that will give 75% or more of the total sale of the car. Beware of those institutions that portray themselves as charities when they really are not. Read more...

Although, it’s an age-old method of advertisement, it still receives the same response and is highly successful. Both small and large businesses still choose this method to promote their products and services. Ask them and nearly hundred percent advertisers would select newspapers as their primary advertise medium.
In spite of registered decline in newspaper circulation numbers and advertisements featured in a newspaper, they are read by millions of people at their breakfast table. The rate of increase in price to place advertisements in newspapers is climbing rapidly when compared to radio, television and billboards. The main aim should be to get the desired attention from the advertisement and out do the competitor. Various factors should be considered and measures should be taken to ensure success, while keeping the cost low.
Many advertisers, who advertise through newspapers, design their own advertisements without any prior training. This has lead to the rise of larger number of retailers who think that making an ad by them is the only way to get it right. This approach saves a lot of money and is good for small businesses, only if they reach to correct customers. The one time cost of placing a small advertisement is $150, so the measures should be taken to place them effectively. It isn’t necessary to have a full-page advertisement posted in the newspaper. If smartly designed, even half page advertisement can do wonders; the money saved can be used to advertise concurrently in other mediums like radio, websites, etc. Read more...
