As long as there have been movies, there has been that excitement for your favorite film to debut. People used to sit on the edge of their seats just to be able to see the trailers for upcoming films. Lines still wrap around the block when the next big thing comes out. People considered it worth the wait to get to be the first to see it, even if that means dealing with all of the annoying parts of having to share the theater with a bunch of inconsiderate people. Many of our readers will remember Robocop fondly from their childhood. However, if you haven’t seen it since then, you should seriously consider watching it again. It may not exactly be one of the ten greatest films of all time, but it is, without a doubt, certainly one of the most perfect. The film follows beat cop Alex Murphy, serving in Delta City, formerly Detroit, Michigan. At this point, the city has filed for bankruptcy and been bought out by companies like Omni-corp, who own everything from the streets to the police. Murphy is deliberately put in harm’s way so that the company will have a half dead officer to use as a guinea pig for the Robocop project.
Murphy is killed in the line of duty, having been sent into a high risk area specifically for the purpose of getting a cop shot up so that Omni-Corp, the people who own the cops, can have a guinea pig for the creation of Robocop, the Next Big Thing in crime control. Read more...

Ten years ago people may not have thought that there would be much of a market for people to watch movies online. No one thought that people would rather sit back and watch entire films on a cell phone screen, yet the trend to do just that continues to this day.
As televisions have grown in their technical prowess and have gotten sharper pictures on larger screens, people are still turning to smaller screens. Walter Hill is one of the most incredible directors of the last thirty or forty years, always capable of banging out a great, unpretentious, action packed flick. In the mid eighties, he sat down with a notebook and wrote a checklist of everything he wanted to see in the greatest movie ever, and the result was Streets of Fire, one of the all time cult eighties movie downloads.
The movie follows Tom Cody, a soldier who’s been discharged and returns to his old hometown when Ellen Aim, his old sweetheart, and a pop music sensation, is kidnapped by Raven, the leader of the local biker gang. The film works on the level of fantasy, mixing fifties and eighties aesthetics into a new kind of setting. The environment the characters inhabit is surreal and dreamlike, and the cinematography is beautiful, with rainy streets and neon signs dominating the screen.
The film is really defined by the music, with pop and rock songs blending the fifties sound with the eighties sound. The movie really sort of invents its own, all new genre of music, exemplified by I Can Dream About You, the doowop song that actually charted pretty high on the billboard.
