The following checklist should be of value to most PC owners as it provides a schedule for tasks and actions they can perform in order to maintain and repair their PC. Quite often the best practice in PC maintenance is to take the preventative or predictive approach to maintenance by catching faults before they become an issue.
Daily Checklist
Run an anti-virus check daily. Setup a scheduled scan, if your application supports this, to scan for viruses at a suitable time. You could run the scan less frequently (e.g. weekly) but you should weigh this up against the risk of your computer becoming infected.
Weekly Checklist
Backup any data that you would not wish to lose. Backups should be made to at least two external systems (thumb drives, external hard drives, C.D.s etc.) that you store separate from the computer. There are plenty of free back-up synchronization applications online (such as Microsoft’s SyncToy application) that automate backing up only those files that are new or have changed since the last back up. You should make the back-up more frequent if you alter a lot of computer files on a daily basis. Read more...

There are actually a selection of features that you will want to look at and while price is, certainly, significant there are also other considerations. If you are responding to a particular offer make sure that you know precisely what is obtainable and also what you can expect after any special offers expire.
Before you start downloading the celebrated motion pictures that are available it is wise to check out the websites and the services they suggest very comprehensively. Make sure that you are aware of any recurring charges and all charges that may be associated with the service. You do not want any surprises. Look at as many websites as you can and do comparisons before you decide on the one that you want.
Such an abundance of choice at your fingertips
The newer computer systems that most people are buying come with large hard drives, making it possible for large downloads like movie files. In many instances these files can be transferred to a DVD to restore your hard drive space. Registry corruption can be very annoying and very painful. Registry corruption can look like Spyware, but it can be worse. It can not only make your computer run slow, but also make your computer stop operating altogether. Spyware is very bad, but a simple scan from good software can fix that up. With the registry problems, it can be more serious then annoying pop ups.
Registry Corruption is probably/ most likely the reason why your computer keeps crashing on you. Although it’s annoying and very disturbing, the only option to stop it is a registry cleaner. It can affect all of your files, and downloading certain programs to run a scan is just as dangerous. You need to be careful and with this, I suggest you buy a registry cleaner. Don’t be cheap and download a free one like I did, because the outcome may not be pretty. Some ways to know you are having registry errors are; blue screen of death, slow running but no viruses or Spyware and even random crashing.
Some other ways are obvious like:
Stop 0xc0000218 (0xe11a30e8, 0×00000000, 0×000000000, 0×00000000) UNKNOWN_HARD_ERROR
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM Read more...

Uploading to the Internet is pretty fast, easy, and a great way to share things with your friend’s and family. In recent years we started uploading everything from photos to software, videos, music, and even text files. All of this can be done easily and efficiently by using various web sites. This also allows others to share what you are uploading, and you can also receive what other people have.
Some popular file sharing sites are as follows:
Photocbucket.com
RapidShare.com
Megaupload.com
Fotolog.com
Flickr.com
Imageshack.com
Some of those sites are strictly for photos, while others are for music, and some are for everything. Photobucket.com is a superb site for uploading, sharing, and editing photos and videos. You can even do things like create slide shows, and store as many photos as you want! Thousands of photos can be uploaded onto an account, which means deleting them off your computer. That will save a lot of memory for you on your hard drive. In my opinion uploading to other web sites is the best option because it’s less complicated, you can share with others and get things you want, and it’s fast. Any body who can type can do this. Bluetooth is voice capability without the mess of wires or holding a phone to your ear. It is a device that sits in your ear, so that you don’t need to hold your phone. Bluetooth is an ear piece that also acts like a microphone at the same time. This device makes it easier for people to drive, shop, converse, and makes it so people can even build while talking. The possibilities that can be reached while using a Bluetooth are endless.
Bluetooth devices of course have gotten better since the first was created. The newer ones now cover a greater deal of area. This allows for someone to walk away from their phone and still receive a nice strong signal. It is way more efficient for business men and women who are constantly on the go, and always on the phone. A Bluetooth device is also very appealing to others not in the business fields like truck drivers, motorcycle owners, and even bus drivers. Some Bluetooth’s give you a range of ten feet, while others can give you thirty feet or even more. This allows for you to walk away from your phone while doing important things. Read more...

Desktop computers are pieces of equipment that has become vital for any home and business office. It is unthinkable for any company to exist and function without these intelligent machines. Unlike years ago, it has also become inconvenient for a household not to have one for study, communication, and entertainment purposes.
Servers are catching up with desktop PCs in terms of significance. As private and public entities have found the necessity of being constantly available on the internet, more people have realized the advantages of connecting. The internet has become the most common means of file sharing.
If you want to the best benefits, you can have both. Your desktop PC cannot perform the functions of a server. It does not have enough space for memory. It may not be able to accommodate a network of computers.
Without a PC connected to it, a server is of practically of no use. It just stands a as a file storage device that any user may access when there is a need to. It has to be running for 24 hours non-stop in order for the open files to be easily accesses from any computer in a network that it serves. Read more...

When having to use two different computers to transfer things, connecting two computers is very beneficial. There are many reasons people may do this, but some are to share files and printers. You can also share your music; download a friend’s whole video library, even copy important data. A lot of HS and college students like to do this, so they can share “the goods.” Connecting computers can also be rewarding for students working on a paper together or a project together.
How to Connect:
As you should know already, computers can be connected wireless or with various wires. You can either connect computers through USB cords, Ethernet, or serial cable for null modems. The USB way has its own special cords, so make sure you check that out. A wireless connection is just as efficient and you get the same great results. As you can tell, there are a few ways to go about this. Each way of course has its pros and cons, some are faster than others. For a person who has almost every option, make sure you choose your option carefully.
