When you are traveling on the outback roads, of Queensland, it is important that you are aware of the proper protocol. There are many roads where you are required to report to the police, when you are entering and again when you reach your destination. The reason for this is so that they are able to easily locate you, if you fail to where and when you are expected to be. These roads can be traveled by car, however it is a smoother ride while traveling in a 4WD.
It is also important, that while you are traveling, you are prepared, should anything go wrong with your transportation. Any spare parts that you may need, such as tires, should be in tow, since the roads are extremely remote, and it can take hours for a tow truck just to reach you. A mobile phone, is not the most reliable communication device, in the outback, so another great item that you should travel with is a high frequency out post radio transmitter, equipped to pick up the Royal Flying Doctor Service bases. The papers are filled with ads saying ‘Used RV for Sale by Owner. Asking prices may seem too good to be true and they usually are. After a personal inspection, you purchase the vehicle. It’s less than a year later that things start to break and there’s no way for you to recoup your investment.
There are alternatives to buying a used RV from the owner directly. One of them is to find a consignment RV company that specializes in selling used RVs. Consignment stores build their businesses around their customers. Especially with so much information sharing on the internet, a business that doesn’t do well by their customers is going to be exposed. Individual sellers aren’t held up to any such standard.
One of the jobs of consignment RV companies is to set up test drives and answer calls whereas individuals selling have jobs and families to contend with and very little time to answer your questions. If you don’t return to an individual with a used RV for sale by owner, it’s no sweat off their back, but a consignment RV company depends on repeat business for survival. Read more...

People work harder these days than ever before. If not physically harder then longer hours and we are entitled to a break from that once in a while. The majority of us go on holiday and we look forward to it months in advance and we plan for it even further ahead. Where do you like to go or what do you like to do? I personally like to go on a cruise and a Caribbean cruise is a good choice.
People believe a cruise, specially a Caribbean cruise as being expensive, and cruise operators want to uphold that elite image, but I see the cruise as being an up-market all inclusive holiday. Probably, it is the original all inclusive holiday, because once you walk up and off that gang plank, everything except drinks is free. Everything and everything is first class hotel style too! We are not talking pizza and chips here, but five or six course meals and five or six times a day. Read more...

Whether you take air flights for business, or holidays and vacations, you have probably lost luggage or know of a person that has. Here are some travel tips that may help you prevent this happening.
It is estimated that more than a million bags are lost by commercial airlines each year in the United States alone. How much luggage that get lost in the whole world is anybody’s guess. Here are some tips that may help you recover your bags if they are ever lost.
Attach a couple of tags with your name, home address, and phone number to the handle and zipper-pulls of every bag that you are checking. There’s less of a chance that every tag could get torn off when in transit. Make sure that you’ve taken off any old airline tags that are still on your luggage as they could confuse the baggage handlers.
Also, you should place the same contact information, including a copy of your itinerary and destination address inside each your bags. Then, if they do go astray and are found in time, it’s possible that they could be forwarded to your hotel. Read more...

Making the decision to purchase an RV is a large financial investment, but it is one that pays off over time. The more an RV is used, the greater the rewards in cost savings and times shared with family and friends. If you’re looking at an RV, do you want a new or used motorhome?
Don’t let warranties sway your decision. Used motorhomes come with extended warranties, which cover service and maintenance in the same fashion as purchasing a new motorhome. However, only RV dealers are authorized to offer extended warrantees and coverage may vary. Individuals selling used motorhomes don’t have the authority to sell warranties.
Do you appreciate quality and luxury, but can’t quite afford that million dollar price tag? Used motorhomes are a great way to experience top of the line amenities and live in the lap of luxury on the road without draining the bank account. While you can add your own touches to your used motorhome, most Class A RVs have already installed premium entertainment systems, cabinetry and more. Read more...
